In the second generation of Gran Turismo, Porsche launched the first plug-in hybrid luxury world class. With Hybrid-E of the Panamera with 416 hp power system, two executive deluxe versions are also debuted with a wheelbase and a new three-liter V6 engine with biturbo charging for the Panamera S and Panamera 4S. A wide base and unmatched models expanded and consists of ten models that offer an even broader range of comfort and sportiness. New technologies have enabled more advanced fuel savings of up to 56 percent, while still increasing performance and driving comfort.
The new Panamera underlines its exceptional positioning with a language more expressive design in the style of the new generation of sports cars that are marked by strict lines, sharp edges and elements of body shape again. In short: The Porsche Panamera is more efficient, sporty, stylish and comfortable. The new generation of Gran Turismo celebrates its world premiere at Auto China in Shanghai, which opened April 21, 2013 its doors.

Panamera S Hybrid sets new standards E-efficiency, performance and ease of use
The Panamera S Hybrid-E is a full parallel hybrid systematic evolution with a more powerful electric motor, a more powerful battery that provides more power and the ability to load external power supply. The electric motor produces 95 horsepower (70 kW), which is more than twice the power of the previous model electric motor of 47 hp (34 kW). It draws its power from a newly developed lithium-ion battery 9.4 kWh, which is more than five times the energy capacity of 1.7 kWh battery technology previous nickel-metal hydride. When connected to a power industry, which can be charged in about two hours through the integrated onboard charger and universal standard Porsche (AC) charger, and can be charged in less than four hours after is connected to taking a standard household current in Germany.

The Panamera S Hybrid E-far exceeds the capacity of the previous model. In addition, the NEDC fuel consumption of 7.1 l/100 km previous model is reduced by 56 percent to 3.1 l/100 km. That equates to CO2 emissions of 71 g / km. At the same time, its ability to fully electric driving was significantly improved compared to the electric throttle, electric stove and electric equipment. Experience a pure electric driving is possible without intensive local consumption or emissions, which is particularly advantageous in the urban environment. The electric range of the Panamera S Hybrid E-determined 36 kilometers NEDC Based Testing. Driving actual performance may vary depending on the air conditioning and heating are disabled in the NEDC test conditions, for example. A fully electric driving realistic daily operation would be between 18 and 36 miles a day - and particularly favorable conditions, could even exceed this range. The new Panamera with hybrid car can reach speeds up to 135 km / h in electric operation.

The acceleration time from zero to 100 km / h reduced to one-half second to 5.5 seconds. Function by using electric pulse, wherein the performance of the electric motor which controls the combustion engine. Boost can be activated by the kickdown - for example, in situations of excess. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 270 km / h. The parallel hybrid concept developed by Porsche also offers the "inertia" at high speeds, which refers to free cabotage off internal combustion engine and energy recovery for power generation.

The concept of the future of E-Panamera Hybrid also features a new range of comfort functions that can be activated and use a smart phone application. This is an indicator of state of charge, for example. In addition, the choice of the auxiliary temperature control plug-in hybrid car allows preheating or cooling Porsche Car Connection, but can be programmed into the vehicle, or even more conveniently by applying smart phone. A smart phone can also be used for battery management or remote access to vehicle information such as the remaining driving range or to guide users to their parked vehicles. All functions that are not specific to the hybrid are also available as an option on other models in the car Porsche Panamera Connect smartphone app.

Long wheelbase, spacious living behind: Executive models with exclusive class accommodation
The spatial concept of the Panamera with two buckets in the rear seat seats rule proved so successful that Porsche extends further into the new generation of Gran Turismo. The new Panamera Turbo Panamera 4S Executive Executive - the wheelbase of 15 inches long - offer more rear-seat space and comfort. They have a wide range of features, and most importantly they offer exceptional comfort in both places the rear seats as standard. All models have the innovative management Panamera air suspension, which combines excellent ride comfort and driving characteristics typical of Porsche.

More performance and efficiency reduction: new twin-turbo V6

Boost performance and efficiency is a core competency of Porsche. In developing the new Panamera, this has resulted in a new engine based on the concept of downsizing: a three-liter V6 engine engine and twin-turbo charging. The twin-turbo V6 engine replaces the previous 4.8-liter V8 in the Panamera S and Panamera 4S and also used in the new version of the Panamera 4S Executive. Their basic parameters are indicators of progress: 20 more horsepower and 20 Newton meters of torque, but up to 18 percent better fuel economy compared to the V8 engine in the previous model. This gives not only a powerful and effective driver of the results turbocharging a maximum torque of 520 Newton-meters are available in a wide range of engine speeds for a curved top and uniform power even at low revs.

Most Panamera models are equipped with the PDK seven-speed Porsche Doppel. The comfortable eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic functions of the Panamera Diesel, Panamera S Hybrid-E. This transmission creates optimal conditions for the development of other functions efficiently. For example, the start-stop function now disables the engine long ago coasting to a stop, which saves more fuel. With the exception of the Panamera GTS PDK models also offer built-in inertia in the claws open to overcome the engine idling and the car coasts freely. This feature can significantly improve fuel consumption, especially when traveling on the highway.

More elaborate design with a new option: LED headlights

The most advanced of the Panamera exterior design can be made at first glance. The line of work tighter and more important in the end is particularly evident in the larger air intakes and headlights distinctive transition. In side profile, the new rear window creates more sharply even more widespread silhouette. From the rear, the new generation Panamera is made especially for the new trunk lid.
