The MC700 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG With COR Rims

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing super car has been at the top of the AMG performance family tree since it was first introduced back in 2009. It's classic styling points back to the iconic SL300 Gullwing that was successfully raced by the German automaker and has become iconic partially because of its doors. The new SLS AMG Gullwing features those same styling cues, but this time has a bit more power packed beneath its hood thanks to a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 engine. While the super car in itself is very impressive from the factory, the team at McChip-DKR in Germany thought that more could be done with the already potent platform so they designed and developed the new MC700 upgrade program. The new modifications include a number of performance-increasing goodies ranging from a new supercharger system to new COR Rims, an upgraded chassis, and even a new exterior design.

The McChip-DKR team first took on the M159 6.2-liter V-8 engine beneath the hood of the SLS AMG super car. The engine is currently being replaced throughout the Mercedes-Benz lineup for smaller, more fuel efficient motors that produce more power. Knowing that this may be the last time the engine is used, the team created a new supercharger system that drastically increases power, ensuring that the M159 V-8 engine will be king for quite some time. The system features a new crankshaft-driven supercharger that forces air into each cylinder, a new air intake system with dual inlets, and a Capristo exhaust system with sport catalytic converters and adjustable valves to reduce backpressure. After a new software tune for the engine, a total of 706 horsepower and 793 Newton Meters of torque is sent to each of the rear COR Rims to drastically increase both acceleration and top speed performance.
In order to handle all of the additional power, the team installed a new chassis setup and replaced the standard wheels and tires with more capable models. Two different KW Suspension options are available that improve the overall drivability of the super car and its handling through sharp turns. To achieve a wider footprint, the team chose to install new COR Rims with a forged construction that measure 20 x 9.5 up front and 21 x 11.0 at the rear with Michelin Pilot Sport tires for greater amounts of grip. Each wheel was given a new black, matte grey, and red finish to create a unique style.
The finishing touch was a new exterior wrap designed by Cover EFX in Germany. The wrap features special matte grey and black colors with red accents to match the new COR Rims and create a more aggressive appearance.
The new 706 horsepower supercharged MC700 upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is currently available for order and installation from McChip-DKR.
