Porsche model offensive on the anniversary of the 911 is reaching new heights. 50 years ago, the 911 made its debut at the Frankfurt International Auto Show. And just ten years later, the first prototype 911 Turbo in Frankfurt. Today the 40th anniversary of Porsche presents the new generation 911 Turbo and Turbo S - the peak of technological performance and dynamics of the 911 series. New four-wheel drive, active management of the rear axle, the aerodynamic adaptive headlights all LEDs and up to 560 hp flat six-cylinder bi-turbo emphasize the role of the new generation 911 Turbo as a race car circuit platform technology and everyday cars.
Playing equally important roles are completely new lightweight chassis with a wheelbase 100 mm longer and larger 20-inch wheels. PDCC active roll system, available for the first time in the 911 Turbo, increased even more dynamic performance. This system is standard on the 911 Turbo S, as the Sport Chrono package with dynamic engine and PCCB ceramic brakes, all these features are also available as an option on the 911 Turbo. The result: the new 911 Turbo S is shortened turnaround time of the Nürburgring Nordschleife well below 7:30 minutes - naturally with standard production tires. The standard sound symposer intensifies the driving experience, it passes the admission turbo engine into the passenger compartment through a membrane speaker.
More power, better fuel economy by 16 percent
Power is transmitted to the transmission through the transmission seven-speed dual-clutch (PDK), which now allows you to start / stop the engine stop function, now activated after coast car stopped, and cabotage function. With the new thermal management system for the engine and transmission Turbo PDK, the energy efficiency technologies have reduced the NEDC fuel consumption by up to 16 percent to 9.7 l/100 km and these figures are both models.
AWD new command electrohydraulic
Broader set of all 911 cars
Other distinguishing features include two-tone 20-inch forged wheels - the 911 Turbo S have hub locks wheel. The Turbo S also make their appearance with new full-LED headlights are four daytime running lights and traffic control based on dynamic cameras, which can be ordered as an option for the 911 Turbo.
Sustainable improvement rear axle steering
At over 80 km / h, the system operates in parallel to the rear wheels to the front wheels turned. This equates to almost longer wheelbase 500 mm high and gives the car a huge sports stability, especially at high speeds. At the same time, the steering input by the driver led to a much more rapid accumulation of lateral force on the rear axle, which began more spontaneous and harmonious redirection.
Active aerodynamics to improve the efficiency and performance
Similarly, the rear spoiler is extended to its full height with the angle of attack. It also generates more downforce on the rear axle. The dynamic performance is improved to such an extent that the lap times on the Nürburgring Nordschleife are improved by more than two seconds due to this single system.
New interior with premium features
As in previous models, the Bose sound system is standard for the first time, a Burmester system is also available as an option. A control system radar-controlled speed, recognition of traffic signs based camera and speed limit recognition are other new options.
The new high-end models of the 911 series models arrive on the market at the end of September 2013. In Germany, € 162 055 911 Turbo costs, costs of € 195 256 911 Turbo, VAT and country-specific features included.
